Lock Nut for Sony Handycam Pinch Roller Repair C:31:22 C:31:23 (1) PIECE

This is a “lock nut” as described by SONY to replace a lost or damaged one on you camcorder.
If you receive a C:31:23, C:31:22, C:31:11, C:31:30 or C:31:32 error on you Hi8 or Mini DV camcorder (many models) this means the pinch roller has become mis aligned. The plastic lock nut is prone to splitting down the middle or sliding off or letting the pinch roller that I do NOT sell.
This is such a common problem, I personally think they should have recalled all affected camcorders. There are many videos on YouTube on how to do this repair, but I had to search many tubes to find the one that would work. You take this 3mm long piece of tubing and push it in the spindle pin that holds the pinch roller, see my picture for the installed red tube on my camcorder!
This is only the red locknut repair part, no other parts, pieces, tools or instructions.
Again, this means I do NOT have the rubber pinch roller for your model. You may be able to locate one in another auction, or buy a parts/repair unit.
The white one shown is a genuine SONY part from my camcorder that I replaced, it is only shown for comparison.

If you cannot find the pinch roller, do not expect a refund, It’s not cost effective to ship or process returns on an auction of this value. I do my best to cut the pieces to 3mm long to match the original genuine Sony part from my unit. I do not ship these in an envelope, my first sales had problems because the parts tore the envelope open when going through the sorting machines. These must be put in a parts envelope and placed between cardboard sheets to protect them and placed in a larger envelope to meet First Class parcel standards and be nonmachinable by the USPS.
